Centuries of Progress: American World's Fairs 1853 to 1982
What do popcorn, root beer, hot dogs, television, plastic, light bulbs, and x-rays have in common? They all made their debut at a World's Fair. Hagley's upcoming exhibit, “Centuries of Progress: American World's Fairs 1853 to 1982” explores these events that brought many different visions of the future to millions of visitors over the years.
